What if the only thing limiting God's work in your life was the ceiling you've placed on your expectations?

We live in a world that constantly reminds us of our limitations. Financial constraints. Health challenges. Relationship struggles. Career setbacks. The list goes on. But what if I told you that these limitations are not the final word? What if there's a God who operates completely outside the boundaries we've accepted as normal?

The story of Elisha in 2 Kings 13 reveals something extraordinary about the nature of God. Here was a prophet who had witnessed more miracles than almost anyone in biblical history, and yet, as he lay dying, he still believed in the unlimited power of God. Even in his final moments, even in sickness, even facing death itself, the prophet understood something profound: what Jesus Christ cannot do does not exist.

This isn't just inspirational language. It's a fundamental truth about the character of God. He possesses limitless love and limitless power, and we desperately need both.

Think about it. When Elisha was on his deathbed, King Joash came to him weeping. This wasn't just any visitor—this was a warrior king who knew how to fight, who understood warfare, who had conquered enemies. Yet he came to a dying prophet because he recognized that military might wasn't enough. He needed someone who knew the King of all kings.

In one of the most fascinating moments of this encounter, Elisha told the king to open the east window. Here's what makes this remarkable: the enemy was coming from the north. Logically, you'd expect the prophet to tell him to aim toward the threat. But God's ways aren't our ways.

The east represents something powerful. Every single day, in every country on earth, the sun rises in the east. It's a new day. A new beginning. A fresh start. When God tells you to look east, He's saying, "Stop focusing on where the enemy is coming from. Focus on where I am bringing newness into your life."

How often do we make this mistake? We fixate on our problems, stare at our obstacles, obsess over what's coming against us. Meanwhile, God is saying, "Look to the new day I'm bringing. Look to the fresh way I'm working. Trust Me even when it doesn't make sense."
The Amplified Bible puts it beautifully in Jeremiah 1:12: "I am alert and active, and I am watching over My word to perform it." God isn't passive. He's actively working, watching for opportunities to demonstrate His power in your life.

Perhaps the most convicting part of this story is what happened next. Elisha told the king to take arrows and strike the ground. The king struck three times and stopped. The prophet became angry. "You should have struck five or six times! Then you would have struck Syria until you had destroyed it. But now you will strike Syria only three times."

This moment reveals a sobering truth: the only way the enemy wins is if we give up.
The king limited his own victory. He stopped too soon. He didn't press through. He settled for partial victory when complete victory was available.

How many times do we do the same thing? We pray for something once or twice, don't see immediate results, and quit. We fight for our marriage for a little while, then give up. We pursue healing halfheartedly, then accept sickness as our fate. We work on a dream briefly, then abandon it when obstacles appear.

The ground represents the cursed earth we live in. Everything in this fallen world works against the purposes of God. That's why we must strike until. Keep praying until something happens. Keep believing until breakthrough comes. Keep fighting until victory is won.

Make no mistake—if you want to live the life God has for you, you're going to face warfare. It's not optional; it's essential. Want to get married? That's warfare. Want to stay married? That's warfare. Want to raise godly children? That's warfare. Want to walk in health? That's warfare.

But here's the good news: warfare is always victory when you put it in the hands of God.
Whatever you place in the hands of Jesus, He handles with His heart. He doesn't just mechanically fix things. He personally, intimately, lovingly works on your behalf because He cares about you.

Consider this question: Are you living the life that Jesus had in mind for you when you were conceived in your mother's womb? That's not a guilt trip. That's an invitation to something greater. God has purposes for your life that you haven't even imagined yet.

The story doesn't end with Elisha's death. In one of the most remarkable passages in Scripture, we read that some time later, as people were burying a man, raiders appeared. In their haste, they threw the body into Elisha's tomb. When the dead man touched Elisha's bones, he came back to life and stood on his feet.

Even in death, the prophet's faith produced miracles. Even when the natural eye saw only bones and dust, God's power remained. This is the testimony of a life lived in complete surrender to a limitless God.
The message is clear: warfare is won through the words of a not-so-dead prophet named Jesus.

Jesus took two pieces of wood and built the longest, biggest, strangest, most limitless bridge in existence—the cross. That cross is the largest plus sign in the world. When you subtract sin, subtract selfishness, subtract your own way, and add Jesus, your life multiplies.

Here's a simple truth that can transform your perspective: G-R-E-A-T stands for "Get Really Excited About Today." And if you get excited about today, you might get excited about tonight. And if you get excited about today and tonight, you just might get excited about tomorrow.

God isn't asking you to understand everything. He's asking you to trust Him. Jesus said to His disciples, "What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know afterward." Sometimes the answer is simply to get to the "afterward" quicker by trusting now.

Two simple acronyms can revolutionize your prayer life:

PUSH: Pray Until Something Happens. Don't give up. Don't quit. Don't settle for less than what God has promised. Keep pushing in prayer until breakthrough comes.

ASAP: Always Say A Prayer. Every moment is an opportunity to connect with the God who loves you. Every challenge is an invitation to talk to the One who has all power.

There are unemployed angels in heaven right now, waiting for you to pray so they can move on your behalf. They're ready to kick some serious demonic opposition, but they're waiting for you to activate them through prayer.

Healing isn't just something Jesus does. Healing is something Jesus IS. It's His nature, His character, His very being. The same is true of provision, deliverance, peace, and every other need you have.

Everything Jesus Christ could do for you has already been done through the cross and resurrection. The question isn't whether God is willing. The question is whether you're willing to believe, to receive, to press in until you see manifestation.

Jesus doesn't need you. He wants you. When you grasp that simple truth—that the God of the universe desires relationship with you not because of what you can do but because of who you are—it changes everything.

The supernatural is natural to God, and He wants it to become natural to you. You are a supernatural being created for eternal purposes. You're going to live forever. The only question is location.

Every day is a new day with Jesus. Every morning when you see the sun rise in the east, thank God for another opportunity to walk with Him, to trust Him, to see Him work.

Don't talk yourself out of a miracle. Don't let friends talk you out of a miracle. Don't let circumstances talk you out of a miracle. Strike until. Press through until. Believe until.
